February 8th, 2010- A date that will resound around the Volcano forever.

Craig Ferguson, the distinguished leader of the Robot Skeleton Army, and the host of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (12:35 AM/11:35 PM Central- CBS) joined the social networking and micro blogging site known as Twitter on Feburary 8th, 2010. His first tweet (“I have 3 dogs. I like 2 of them The one I dont like takes a shite on the kitchen floor every morning. It's French. The dog, not the shite.”) was posted at 2:18 PM Eastern (1:18 Central). Shortly afterwards, he worried that his being on Twitter would cause its sudden drop from fashion, and he has seldom stopped tweeting since. The day he joined Twitter has been widely regarded as a “Great Day for America,” and indeed, the world.

The username @CraigyFerg has become well known among the celebrities of Twitter, with hilarious conversations, wars, and a robot skeleton coming out of associations with @michaelianblack, @TheRealStanLee, and @GrantImahara. Many of Craig's guests have included him in their posts either before or after their appearance on the show. Notably, Craig appeared on Chris Hardwick's (@nerdist) show, the Nerdist Podcast, after an exchange on Twitter that also led to Chris appearing on the Late Late Show.

He announced on the Late Late Show on February 8th, 2010, that he had joined “The Twitter” and reminded the Army that he often lies, as he had about "never joining Twitter." Craig officially named The Robot Skeleton Army on the Late Late Show that very same day, though originally the followers were simply going to train alongside the Robot Skeleton Army inside the Hollowed Out Volcano. The name was quickly adopted for the followers themselves, with the first mention of the Robot Skeleton Army coming not moments after the show aired. Craig himself adopted the name on the same day, at 23:53:12, tweeting “Dear Robot Skeleton Army. I'm off to bed. More tweets tomorrow. goodnight from the hollowed out volcano.”

Since this momentous day, the Robot Skeleton Army has never ceased to grow, with new members joining every day. The Volcano has its own newspaper (@RSA_News), its own drama, and its own personality. The one thing that can be stated for certain is that “the Tweetie” has never been more interesting or entertaining since @CraigyFerg joined its ranks.
